Dogwood Cottage is located on Main Street in downtown Mountain View, Arkansas, just one block west of the Courthouse Square, next to Woods Old Fashioned Soda Fountain and Pharmacy. You won't have to sit in traffic looking for a parking place when the hottest festivals come to the Courthouse Square! All you'll have to do is open the door, walk a few steps and you are in the center of Mountain View's unique shops and restaurants, the Courthouse open air live folk music, and festival fun. Area Attractions
Mountain View has a bevy of attractions to keep you and your family entertained! These attractions include The Ozark Folk Center, Blanchard Springs Caverns, horseback riding, Sylamo Bike Trail, and antique and craft stores. Enjoy free folk and country music in the Mountain View Courthouse square every summer evening. For more musical and comedy entertainment there are live music theaters such as Brickshy's Back Street Theater, Cash's White River Hoedown, Ozark Folk Center, and Jimmy Driftwood's Barn. You can play a round of golf at the Pine Hill Golf Course.

Trout fishing is 15 minutes away on the White River. For a truly unique experience take your children swimming in an Ozark creek at Blanchard Springs Caverns. For a day of water skiing and lake fishing, Norfork Lake is 45 minutes away where you can rent a boat for a day.

Dogwood Cottage - A Vintage Guest House
Two appealing features of Dogwood Cottage are the pretty decor and the large rooms. This vacation rental home can be used as a whole house with full kitchen for up to 8 people, or as two separate front and back one bedroom suites. Each suite has its own private street entrance, a large full bathroom with shower and tub, one bedroom, and a living/dining area. A full kitchen separates the two suites. Rent the suites with, or without the kitchen, based on availability. Both suites have color satellite TV with remote controls. Wash cloths, towels, and bed linens are provided.

The Dogwood Cottage Front Suite - Facing Main street and sleeping up to 4 persons, the Front Suite has a living room with a private street entrance, dining room, bathroom with shower and tub, and a front porch that's great for watching Mountain View's parades and festival events. The bedroom has one queen bed and a reach in closet. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa. An apartment size refrigerator and a 12 cup coffeemaker are included separate from the kitchen. A locking kitchen door closes off the Front Suite from the Back Suite. The driveway fronts on Main street and gives private parking which can be so hard to find on a busy festival day!

The Rear Suite - This suite sleeps up to 4 persons. The separate private street entrance opens into the living room which has a queen sleeper sofa, coffee maker, dinette set, easy chair, and color satellite TV with remote control. A large full bathroom with shower and tub also has a full-sized washer and dryer set. The bedroom has one queen bed, two reach-in closets, and an antique armoire. The private parking lot is a few yards from Main street next to Woods Pharmacy. Rent this suite with, or without the kitchen. A locking door separates the Back Suite from the kitchen and Front Suite.

The Kitchen - A full sized refrigerator with large freezer, a full sized four burner electric range and oven, large microwave, a 10 cup coffeemaker, toaster, pots, pans, silverware, and dishes make preparing meals and snacks convenient, especially for parties renting the whole house.

The Whole House - For maximum privacy and convenience rent the whole Dogwood Cottage. You'll enjoy two bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, a full kitchen, the front porch, two showers, two tubs, 3 coffee makers, a washer and dryer set, two TV sets, and two street entrances with private parking. Put the kids in one room with a TV set, the adults in the other living room, and enjoy the kitchen in between.

If you remember old fashioned soda fountains, or if you've ever wanted to experience those cool tasty ice cream treats from the past, then you will enjoy Woods Old Fashioned Soda Fountain, which also has a menu of sandwiches and hot dishes. For your convenience, a menu of items served at the soda fountain can be found in Dogwood Cottage. It's just a short walk from your lodging to the Soda Fountain.
